Legislative papers of Holperin, representative of Wisconsin's 34th Assembly District (Oneida and Vilas counties) from 1983 to 1994. Topical files reflect Holperin's work on constituent concerns including Native American fishing and other treaty rights, which led to a 1990 recall effort by those opposed to his support of these rights; the Dept. of Natural Resources' enforcement of state laws and rules; and legislation in which Holperin was involved, especially concerning snowmobiles, the Petroleum Environmental Clean Up Fund Act, the state's purchase of Willow Flowage, and a proposal to make the Hodag the official state mythical beast. The photograph is of Holperin and his family.
